GUSTAVO BRIAND AND VIDAL SASSOON ARTISTIC LEGACY
In October 2011, Gustavo Briand travelled to Los Angeles, CA, to have a memorable encounter with the unforgettable hairdressing legend, his master Vidal Sassoon. At that time Vidal was already retired, receiving visitors from all the world and giving interviews to international media. Vidal was pleased to hear how Gustavo could take advantage of Sassoon's School and consequently developed his own successful style, which led to the opening of his prestigious salon in Miami Beach.
Seven months later, in May 2012, Vidal Sassoon passed away in his house in Bel Air, Los Angeles, CA. Gustavo is also a good friend of Vidal's son, Elan Sassoon, who owned an important hair care products line, Sojourn. Gustavo has performed hair cutting demonstrations in several Sojourn's shows and also agreed with Elan to retail Sojourn products in his salon. In this way, still his old master's legacy remains in the spirit of Gustavo's activity and passion for the artistic excellence and high quality hair design.
